MOUNT ULLA – Miss Christy Sheets and Mr. Justin File were united in marriage Feb. 25, 2012, at St. Lukes Lutheran Church. Officiants for the 5 p.m. ceremony were Pastor Mary Louise Sitton and Pastor Jerome Cloninger. A reception followed at the Millbridge Ruritan Club in Mount Ulla.
The bride was escorted by her father, Mr. Larry Sheets, and attended by her sister, Miss Katie Sheets, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Kelly Barnhardt, Miss Heather Crane, Miss Mandi Heilig, Mrs. Jessica Moore and cousins of the bride Miss Haley Watts and Miss Lauren Watts.
Mr. Ernest File was his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Ben Aldridge, Mr. Charlie Aldridge, brother of the groom Mr. Travis File, Mr. Brandon Miller, Mr. Andy Morrison and brother of the bride Mr. Clay Sheets.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. Larry and Mrs. Kaye Sheets of Cleveland and granddaughter of Mrs. Evelyn Foster and the late Mr. Hoyle Foster, Mrs. Betty Woodle and the late Mr. J.W. Sheets. A graduate of West Rowan High School, Christy graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a B.A. in Psychology and minors in Human Services and Sociology. She is employed by the Guardian Ad Litem program.
The groom is the son of Mr. Ernest and Mrs. Debbie File of Salisbury and grandson of Mr. Robert and Mrs. Mattie Lee Sloop, the late Mrs. Helen Sloop and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest File, Sr. A graduate of West Rowan High School, Justin attended RCCC and is employed by United Beverages.
The couple are making their home in Salisbury and are planning a honeymoon to Montana and Wyoming in late summer.
