SALISBURY — An assistant manager at a McDonald’s on East Innes Street gave cheeseburger combos to friends, police said.
She got a felony charge in return.
Salisbury Police say video footage showed 26-year-old Traci Cleary handing out five bags of cheeseburgers, fries and drinks to friends, authorities said.
She was also seen talking with the individuals, who parked beside her car, after giving away the food.
A Salisbury Police report said Cleary is not allowed to give away food, despite her assistant manager role.
“She made no effort to collect any money from the individuals,” the report said.
The incident happened on April 9 around 9 p.m., police said.
Officers arrested Cleary at McDonald’s Wednesday morning.
She was asked to turn in her keys to the store, the report said.
Authorities also found a small amount of marijuana in a plastic bag inside the woman’s purse.
She was charged with felony larceny by employee and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Cleary was released after posting a $1,000 bond.
