SALISBURY — Authorities arrested a 19-year-old Salisbury man at his probation office Monday after police said he shot into a man’s house last month.
D’Carlos Monaster Jordan, of Heilig Avenue, and two others beat on the door and sides of a Pinewood Avenue home on April 15, according to a Salisbury Police report. Officers said Jordan then fired a handgun into the residence.
Titus King Jr. was at the residence during the shooting and told authorities his ex-girlfriend, and mother of his child, Taneisha Watson was with the men, the report said.
According to police, Watson lost custody of their child that day and came to King’s house that afternoon. King then asked to press charges.
When she returned about 9 p.m. that evening, King again called police. The three suspects fled the scene, officers said.
Police found a .40-caliber bullet had been fired through the bedroom’s window, and through an interior wall, landing in a bathtub. In a phone interview with the Post, Watson said she was never at the house and that she and King lost custody of their child the following day. Investigators obtained warrants for Jordan on May 1.
He was arrested when he arrived for a meeting with his probation officer about 5 p.m. Tuesday.
He was charged with felony discharging a firearm into occupied property.
Jordan was in jail Tuesday evening under a $15,000 bond.
Four days after the shooting, police said Watson was charged after she assaulted King’s mother and girlfriend following a Department of Social Services child visitation.
Watson, 20, is facing charges of two counts of misdemeanor simple assault, misdemeanor probation violation, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, misdemeanor communicating threats, misdemeanor injury to personal property, misdemeanor second-degree trespassing and felony intimidating a witness.
Detectives said they are still investigating the shooting and more charges are expected.
