SALISBURY — Sheniqua Peebles has been located, authorities said, after disappearing exactly one month ago.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said the 15-year-old is being transported back to Salisbury, but did not provide information about where she was found.
Peebles left home on April 9 to stay with her cousins for a week, relatives said. But when it was time to return, she stopped responding to calls and refused to come home.
Authorities said last week they believed Peebles was in the Winson-Salem area.
