Priyank Desai, a resident of Concord, plans to use the $200,000 prize he won playing Extreme Green to help pay for medical school.
Desai was sitting in his car when he scratched off his big win.
“I was really just hoping to win my $5 back,” Desai said. “I didn’t believe it. I kept hoping that it was true. It will hit me in a few days, I think. It feels like I’m dreaming.
Desai bought his winning ticket at the A&S Food Mart on U.S. 64 East in Thomasville. After taxes, he received a check for $136,001.
