SALISBURY — A man wanted for kidnapping and assault in Richmond, Va., was arrested Saturday night at the J.C. Price American Legion Post carnival on Old Wilkesboro Road.
Salisbury Police arrested Wayne Allan Davis, 44, of 905 Richard St. in Salisbury and charged him as a fugitive from justice. Davis faces kidnapping and malicious bodily injury charges stemming from a May 19 incident in Richmond.
He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center on $250,000 bond.
The state of Virginia will attempt to extradite him.
