Campbell 50th Anniversary

William John Campbell and Doris Jean Shaw Campbell celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 23, 2012, at a surprise party thrown by their three daughters at Sloan Park in Mount Ulla for family and friends.
The Campbells were married June 23, 1962, at Lawing’s Chapel Baptist Church in Maiden. William retired after 41 years as a minister, and Doris retired after 32 years as a second-grade teacher.
Their daughters are Jan Campbell Wharton of Winston-Salem, Lisa Campbell Smith of Burnsville and Nicole Campbell James of Granite Quarry. They also have eight grandchildren.
