Man dies after car pulls out in front of motorcycle

CONCORD — A Charlotte man was killed Saturday night when his motorcycle struck a car that pulled into his pathway at the intersection of U.S. 29 and Central Drive.
Ray Levon Horsley, 58, of Hollyburgh Terrace died after being transported to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast.
According to a press release, Horsley was riding south on U.S. 29 when a 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse driven by Victor Hugo Salinas traveling north made a left turn into the path of the motorcycle about 9:25 p.m. Saturday.
There were four passengers in the car with Salinas at the time of the accident. None of them were seriously injured.
Salinas, 28, of Barron Ridge in Kannapolis has been charged with misdemeanor death by motor vehicle, driving while license revoked and a child restraint violation.
He is in jail on a $100,000 bond.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
There were three motorcycle fatalities in Rowan County and one in Davidson last week.
