SALISBURY — Police are searching for a man who robbed an 83-year-old woman in the parking lot of a Kmart on East Innes Street Tuesday.
The woman told authorities a man got out of a dark colored two-door vehicle as she stood beside her car and grabbed her purse, according to a Salisbury Police report.
A bystander told police they thought the car was a Chrysler Sebring.
The robber was described as a white male about 6 feet tall, between 200 and 250 pounds, with a stocky to slim build.
The man was bald and had a long goatee, the report said.
The vehicle had a South Carolina license plate.
