MARSHVILLE (AP) — Union County Sheriff Eddie Cathey says he does not think the deaths of three people at a home outside Marshville were an act of random violence.
But Cathey says his investigators have no suspects at the moment.
The sheriff says he thinks the suspect will turn out to be someone that the victims knew.
A neighbor found the bodies of 61-year-old Jerry Wayne Marsh, 46-year-old Ronnie Dale Overcash and 38-year-old Crystal Dawn Hicks of Marshville on Saturday morning.
Authorities say the men’s bodies were found in Overcash’s home. Hicks body was found in woods behind the home.
Cathey would not say how the people died.
Neighbors say Hicks had recently moved in with Overcash, who worked on Marsh’s farm.
The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the case.
