Logan Overcash earns Eagle Award
Logan Barnette Overcash, 15, received his Eagle Scout Award Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at the Camp John J. Barnhardt Chapel. Lewis Safrit, Scoutmaster of Troop 328, from Ebenezer Lutheran Church, presented the award.
Logan has earned 27 merit badges. As a Boy Scout, he has held positions of Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and Troop Guide.
Logan served as a Cub Scout Day Camp Counselor and is currently on staff at Camp John J. Barnhardt. He is a member of the Order of the Arrow.
For his Eagle Project, Logan completed a bridge-widening project at Dan Nicholas Park.
The son of Darrin and Jennifer Overcash of Salisbury, Logan is a rising sophomore at Carson High School, where he is a member of the Golf Team and Marching Band (Drum Line).
