MORGANTON (AP) — Two men who saw a strange man in a neighbor’s home in Morganton got their guns and held him until police arrived.
Police charged Jeremy Williams, 24, with breaking and entering and attempted larceny Wednesday. Officials think Williams is connected with a series of break-ins in the area.
Adam and Charles Baker were helping a neighbor by watching the vacant home that had been previously burglarized. They suspected something was wrong when they found a fence post out of the ground and a chain over the driveway removed.
Williams is being held in the Burke County jail and is awaiting a court date.
