21-year-old charged with cocaine possession

SALISBURY — A 21-year-old man was arrested after authorities said he dropped two bags of cocaine on the ground during a vehicle stop.
A Salisbury Police report said Matthew Grey Morris, of Birch Street, was charged with felony possession of cocaine.
Officers said they stopped a Lexus on Grim Street about 2 a.m.
Officer M. Colvin said in the report Morris “dropped two bags of cocaine on the ground when I approached him.”
The preliminary report did not provide the amount of cocaine seized. A detailed report was not available Friday morning.
Morris was in jail Friday morning under a $5,000 bond.
