KANNAPOLIS — A Concord man was placed under a $500,000 bond after Kannapolis Police charged him with first-degree rape Wednesday afternoon.
Garrett Weaver, 41, was charged after police were notified months ago that an incident occurred in 2007, Lt. T.L. Spry said.
Spry said Weaver and the victim knew each other.
Weaver, listed as living on the streets of Concord, was in jail Thursday evening.
