Spencer man charged with breaking and entering

SPENCER — Spencer police charged a South Salisbury Avenue man with breaking into an apartment and taking cash and jewelry.
Robert Larry Pepper Jr., 48, of 1613 S. Salisbury Ave. in Spencer, is charged with felony breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. He is accused of breaking into an apartment in Spencer and taking $747 in cash and jewelry worth $1,016.
Pepper remains in the Rowan County Detention Center on $1,500 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
