Wrong-way driver kills 2 in I-40 collision in Raleigh

RALEIGH (AP) — Raleigh police say two people were killed and a third person was critically injured after one of the drivers was speeding in the wrong direction on Interstate 40 and hit another vehicle.
Police say the head-on crash happened about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Officers said 28-year-old Carolina Linares of Morrisville was driving her car east in the westbound lanes of I-40 when she hit a light truck driven byNatanael Hernandez, 21, of Raleigh.
Linares and a passenger in the truck, Job Hernandez, 17, died in the crash.
Nathanael Hernandez was in critical condition in a local hospital.
Investigators estimated both cars were going about 65 mph when they hit, making the impact speed 130 mph.
