CLEVELAND — Deputies issued citations for a group of underage people accused of drinking. One woman was cited for providing the alcohol, authorities said.
A Rowan County Sheriff’s deputy entered the Cedar Glen mobile home park at 2:15 a.m. Friday where broken tree limbs and ears of corn lay strewn along U.S. 70. A box with three beers was also on the ground with a grocery bag with about two dozen ears of corn.
The officer walked the mobile home park and found empty beer cans and more corn not far from a home at Cedar Glen Circle.
The officer spoke to William Redman, who denied any knowledge of what happened, a report said.
The deputy asked some teens, who admitted they’d been drinking, but could not say how the cut limbs wound up in the middle of the roadway.
Michael Todd Alligood, 19, of Fisher Farm Court, China Grove, was issued a citation for consuming alcohol underage and released at the scene.
Daniel Redman, 20, of Cedar Glen Circle, and William Redman, 19, of School Street, Cleveland, were charged with injury to real property, consuming alcohol underage and littering, all misdemeanors.
Teka Russell, also of Cedar Glen Circle, was issued a citation for providing alcohol to minors.
