KANNAPOLIS — A Kannapolis man is behind bars in Rowan County under a $300,000 bond facing charges of sex offenses involving minors.
Ellison Holmes, 39, of Village Park Road, has been charged with five counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Capt. Pat Patty of the Kannapolis Police Department said investigators found Holmes in possession of pornographic images of children.
Arrest warrants indicate the images were received across the public Gnutella online network.
Kannapolis Police assisted the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office by issuing the arrest warrants in the ongoing investigation.
Evidence has been turned over to the Sheriff’s Office to be processed forensically.
Holmes is set to appear in court at 9 a.m. Thursday.
