Someone steals rear lights from truck

SALISBURY — A local man was surprised to return to work Monday to find the rear lights removed from his truck.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the larceny of a set of lens valued at $500 taken from a 2010 Chevrolet pickup owned by Larry Hendrix.
Hendrix, who works out of the Rowan County’s cooperative extension office, is the district conservationist of the Natural Resources Conservation Service, He told police he left the truck parked at the building at 2727 Old Concord Road at lunchtime Sunday and found the damage when he came back to Monday morning. The investigation is continuing.
