Overcash 50th Anniversary

Thomas L. Overcash and Linda File Overcash of Salisbury are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today, July 29, 2012. The Overcashes were married July 29, 1962, at First United Church of Christ in Salisbury by the Rev. Dr. Lonnie Carpenter.
Mr. Overcash retired as president of Independent Linen Service after 26 years of service. A homemaker, Mrs. Overcash served as the organist at North Hills Presbyterian Church for 18 years.
The couple’s children are Mary Ellen Kennedy of Salisbury; Glenn Overcash of Gaithersburg,, Md., Donna Clements of Nashville, Tenn., and Margaret White of Greensboro. They also have 10 grandchildren.
The weekend of Aug. 4 and 5, the Overcashes and their entire family will gather to celebrate at the White’s lake home on Hyco Lake in Roxboro.
