Hood 45th Anniversary

Dr. Walter Hood and Mrs. Elizabeth Klaner Welch Hood of Salisbury celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary July 29, 2012. They were married July 29, 1967, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Ft. Myers, Fla., by the Rev. Thomas Madden.
An artist, Dr. Hood served as the chairman of the Art Department at Catawba College from 1971-1990. Mrs. Hood has taught Spanish at North Hills Christian School; was a short-term missionary to Mexico eight times; and is a singer and composer.
The Hoods have one son, David Walter Hood of Honolulu, Hawaii.
