SALISBURY — A Salisbury man found his two roosters with their heads chopped off Wednesday.
Doribaldo Hermirio Mendez reported the incident to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. It happened at his Pickler Road residence between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
“He had no idea who could have done it or why,” Capt. John Sifford said.
The roosters were valued at $24.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
