Authorities find 37 marijuana plants at China Grove house
On Wednesday, Aug. 1, members of the Rowan County Sheriffs Office executed a search warrant at the residence of Jeffrey Hamilton Kincaid, 1480 Saw Road, in China Grove.
Investigators located two concealed marijuana growing rooms inside the house, containing a total of 35 plants. Additional dried marijuana was found inside. Another two growing marijuana plants were found outside.
Jeffrey Kincaid was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of felonious manufacturing marijuana, one count of felony possession of marijuana and one count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
Kincaid surrendered to deputies on Friday, Aug. 3 and was released under a $2,500 bond.
A total of 6 pounds of marijuana was seized. Based on the guidelines used by the N.C. Department of Revenue Unauthorized Substances Tax Division, the street value of the marijuana seized would be $21,000.
