SALISBURY — A 17-year-old told deputies a man grabbed her arm and behind as she jogged through a neighborhood near Old Concord Road Thursday afternoon.
A Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report said the girl was attacked about 2 p.m. near the intersection of Kensington Lane and Stafford Estates Drive.
Deputies scoured the area after authorities were notified of the incident.
The man was described as a white male in his 40s with white or gray hair. He was about 5-foot-7, the report said.
Deputies said the girl saw the man as she was jogging by the intersection and minutes later when she jogged back by, the man asked her for her name and age.
Officers said she told the man her name, but did not give him her age.
The man then grabbed her behind, deputies said, and then grabbed her arm.
The 17-year-old said she kicked the man before running away.
