EAST SPENCER — A man shot and critically injured Tuesday night in East Spencer remained in surgery at an area hospital Wednesday morning, authorities said.
East Spencer Police said the man was shot at a residence at 502 S. Long Street. The 911 call was made at 11:49 p.m.
His name and age were not immediately available Wednesday morning.
A helicopter initially planned to fly the victim from Rowan Regional Medical Center to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, police said, but the man was transferred to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
