KANNAPOLIS — No one was injured in a house fire Tuesday afternoon near Little Texas Road.
Kannapolis Fire Department said they arrived on the scene at 2:27 p.m. and checked the 110 Lindsey Road home for occupants.
Crews knocked the fire down in about 20 minutes, a press release said.
The home housed two families, totaling 10 people, the report said, but no one was in the home when the fire started.
Fire crews said an SUV in the garage caught fire first and that quickly spread to the garage and then to the home’s attic.
The Cabarrus County American Red Cross is assisting both families. Kannapolis Police, Cabarrus County EMS, Landis and Odell Fire Departments also assisted.
