SALISBURY — Deputies have released a drawing of a suspect accused of attacking a 17-year-old girl as she jogged along Stafford Estates last week.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said a white male about 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7 slapped the teenager’s backside as she jogged near Old Concord Road. He then grabbed her arm.
The girl told deputies she kicked the man and fled on foot.
A forensic artist from the Davidson Police Department assisted officers in creating a sketch of the suspect. It was released Friday afternoon.
Deputies said the man has thin arms and legs with a little weight in his midsection.
He was also described as having pale skin, yellowing teeth, clean shaven with glasses.
When the incident occurred, deputies said the man was wearing a white T-shirt, khaki shorts and white socks up to his calves.
He was also wearing tennis shoes and a tan-colored ball cap.
Investigators ask that anyone with information about the incident to call the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
