Norwood woman charged with felonies

SALISBURY — A Norwood woman faces numerous charges after authorities say she shoplifted at Kohl’s in Salisbury on Saturday.
Salisbury Police say Tanya Montana Hathcock, 22, of Anson Avenue in Norwood, took five pairs of Nike shoes worth $312 from Kohl’s, leading to her arrest on additional charges in Stanly County.
Hathcock is charged with felony larceny, two counts of first degree trespass, misdemeanor larceny and resisting public officer in connection with incidents authorities say occurred between July 6 and July 25.
Hathcock took several computers worth about $3,400 from the Walmart in Locust, authorities said.
She also faces related charges, including two counts of second degree trespass, organized retail theft and misdemeanor larceny, all in Stanly County.
She posted $10,000 bond at the Rowan County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court in Stanly County on Aug. 31.
