Man injured, taken to hospital after Jake Alexander Blvd. wreck

SALISBURY – A man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries this morning after his pickup collided with a tractor-trailer.
The identity of the driver is unknown at this time. The collision occurred at 6:20 a.m. near West Jake Alexander Boulevard and Harrison Road. The pickup crossed the center lane and collided with the tractor-trailer, which was traveling in the opposite direction on Jake Alexander, said First Sgt. F.C. Ferguson of the N.C. Highway Patrol.
The man suffered a broken arm, leg and other injuries, Ferguson said.
It is unclear if he was wearing a seatbelt. Names are unavailable at this time.
