SALISBURY – A 28-year-old Rockwell man told authorities he was attacked by several men during an early morning walk on Klumac Road Saturday.
Salisbury Police said a patrolling officer stopped the man on Fulton Street about 3:45 a.m. and the man said he was headed to the hospital. He told authorities two to three men jumped him near the intersection of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Klumac Road.
The man had a cell phone with him, but told officers nothing was taken.
According to the report, the man told police he was dogsitting for his parents in Salisbury and it “seemed peaceful outside so he decided to go for a walk.”
Police said the man had glass shards in his arm. Rowan EMS was called to the scene and the man was transported to Rowan Regional Medical Center. He was treated and released, police said.
