SALISBURY – A Salisbury man was arrested after authorities said he assaulted a doctor and two nurses at Rowan Regional Medical Center Sunday morning.
A Salisbury Police report said 21-year-old Telvin Maurice Morgan, of East Fisher Street, was charged with three counts of felony assault on emergency personnel and two counts of misdemeanor assault on emergency personnel.
He remained in jail Thursday morning under a $10,000 bond.
Police said Morgan had been at the hospital earlier that night and was treated for a medical condition and released. About 3:15 a.m., Rowan EMS crews brought Morgan back for additional treatment.
The report did not say what started the incident, but said Morgan became “violent and combative.” Authorities said one nurse was struck in the eye during the assault. A doctor was shoved and another nurse was struck in the shoulder.
Two public safety officers were also assaulted during the fray, the arrest report said.
