Clyde and Gail Thompson Peacock celebrated their 50th anniversary Sunday, July 22, 2012, with a family cookout. The Peacocks were married July 22, 1962, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Enochville by the Rev. Harold Holton, where they are still members. Clyde retired from Southeastern Freight Lines in Charlotte after 33 years, and Gail retired from Cargotec in Cornelius with 10 years of service. Clyde and Gail have two sons, Terry and Judy Peacock and Mark and Rhonda Peacock, and five grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jenna, Tyler and Austin Peacock. The Peacocks’ children placed flowers in their church in their honor. They were also honored at a party by their friends at Myrtle Beach.
