SALISBURY – A Salisbury man was arrested Thursday after a woman told officers the man sexually assaulted her almost a year ago.
A Salisbury Police report said Michael Alan Honeycutt, of Cedar Street, was charged with felony sexual offense about 10 p.m.
He remained in jail Friday under a $100,000 bond.
A 43-year-old woman told officers she lived with Honeycutt in 2011. Authorities said the incident happened in October.
The report did not indicate why the woman waited to file a police report. She contacted officers on Aug. 20. Detectives obtained warrants on Aug. 31.
Honeycutt, 53, was scheduled to have his first appearance in court Friday morning.
