CHINA GROVE – Police charged three men Monday morning with robbing a Rushco service station at gunpoint.
Steven Craig Rice Jr., 23, of East 11th Street in Salisbury; Demarco Shykiem Faggart, 17, of South Jackson Street in Salisbury; and Todd Chandler Swink, 19, also of East 11th Street, were arrested by China Grove Police.
Authorities said the robbery happened at a Rushco in the 600 block of North U.S. 29 about 1 a.m.
A silver handgun was used in the robbery, a press release said. An arrest warrant said the robbers took $86. The cash was recovered by officers.
Witnesses described to officers a vehicle used in the robbery, but the press release did not provide the description. The release did not say where officers arrested the three suspects.
All three were charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Rice was in jail under a $50,000 bond Monday afternoon. Faggart and Swink also remained in jail under $25,000 bonds each.
