SALISBURY – Police said a man and a woman ran out of Walmart carrying a television Sunday night.
Authorities said a woman believed to be an employee at the store saw the couple get into a beige Dodge van in the parking lot before fleeing.
Police said they have obtained warrants for the two suspects.
Their names were not available Monday morning.
A Salisbury Police report said a man walked into Walmart about 9 p.m. and went to the electronics department.
The man cut an anti-theft device from a 40-inch LCD Element TV and placed it in a cart, officers said.
The female suspect joined him near the front of the store, a report said, and the man grabbed the TV from the cart.
They sprinted through the exit closest to Interstate 85 and got into the van.
The TV was priced at $268.
Officers said they located a pair of Stanley pliers that fell from the man’s pocket as the duo ran.
Anyone with information on the couple’s whereabouts are asked to contact Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at s866-639-5245.
