SALISBURY – Rowan deputies charged a Winston-Salem man accused of kidnapping a teenage girl with five counts of statutory rape Wednesday.
Wesley Allen Talbert, of Oak Ridge Court in Winston-Salem, is accused of having sex with the 15-year-old girl, according to arrest warrants.
The 15-year-old disappeared, leaving her home for spring break in April, authorities said.
She was found about a month later. Relatives told the Post in May the girl was located in the Winston-Salem area but was not staying with family members.
Talbert was arrested Friday and charged with felony second-degree kidnapping. He was in Rowan County jail Wednesday under a $200,000 bond.
