SALISBURY – Police arrested a 23-year-old woman Saturday after authorities said she stole $80 from a convenience store where she worked.
Elizabeth Gray Davis, of Timberlane Trail, was charged with felony embezzlement.
She was released after posting a $2,000 bond.
A Salisbury Police report said Davis stole four $20 bills after a coworker set them aside to deposit into an overflow box for larger bills.
The report said a manager of the store watched Davis take the money on video surveillance. He checked the recording after an audit of the registers came out wrong.
Davis’ first court date was Tuesday.
