Authorities recover stolen 1969 Mustang

SALISBURY — Investigators have tracked down and recovered a rare 1969 Ford Mustang stolen from a building on N.C. 150 in April.
Deputies located the missing sports car in a building on Haden Grove Church Road in Linwood Friday morning, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives have obtained warrants for Daryl Lewis Lyerly, 31, of Davidson County in connection with the investigation.
During the investigation, officers said they got a lead the vehicle was in Davidson County.
The limited edition Mustang Boss 429 was one of five vehicles taken in a large theft on April 24.
Deputies have not released any further information regarding the other missing vehicles.
