Deputies arrest man accused of stealing classic car

SALISBURY — Deputies have arrested a Davidson County man accused of stealing a rare ‘69 Ford Mustang.
Daryl Lewis Lyerly, 31, was charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
Lyerly was also charged with failing to appear in court on an unrelated incident.
He was in Rowan County jail Sunday under a $5,500 bond.
Authorities believe Lyerly broke into a building on N.C. 150 in April and stole the classic muscle car.
Four other vehicles were also taken in the theft, but detectives have not released any further information in the case.
