CHARLOTTE (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is returning to North Carolina for campaign stops in Charlotte and Asheville.
Biden is speaking this morning at the Fillmore at the N.C. Music Factory in Charlotte. He will then head to an afternoon rally at UNC Asheville
Biden has visited the state several times as vice president, most recently to attend the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte a few weeks ago.
Biden also visited Durham last month, when he blasted Republican vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan on his proposals for entitlement programs such as Medicare and Social Security.
Campaigns for both President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney are putting a lot of effort in North Carolina. Obama narrowly won the state over Republican John McCain four years ago.
