The Rowan District Attorney’s Office will not pursue charges in the three-vehicle collision that killed two men Thursday.
“Our office has reviewed the circumstances surrounding this incident and have determined that additional criminal charges are not warranted based on the evidence,” said District Attorney Brandy Cook.
James Dillon Logan, 18, and Dillon Robertson, 19, were riding a moped on West Jake Alexander Boulevard when they were hit by a Jeep Cherokee as it pulled onto Jake Alexander from Dan Street. The impact knocked the moped into the path of a box truck driven by Enedino Caroso.
The Jeep was driven by driven by Patricia Jones.The moped did not have a headlight.
Logan died at the scene and Robertson died later of his injuries.
Caroso was given a citation he received for not having a driver’s license.
