House fire on Gold Knob Road

ROCKWELL — Emergency crews are working to knock down a house fire on Gold Knob Road.
According to scanner reports, the fire began around 12:50 p.m. Multiple departments are responding and the home appears fully engulfed.
The homeowner, Betty Morgan, is on the scene. The American Red Cross is sending a representative to help.
Morgan said she has lived in the home since 1966. She left the home Monday to go to lunch.
When Morgan returned, crews were battling the blaze.
The home, in the 1100-block of Gold Knob Road, sustained significant damage.
Firefighters from Faith, Bostian Heights, Union, Rockwell City and Rockwell Rural, and several others are working to move in tanks of water.
Crews are pumping water from a hydrant on Sides Road and moving the tankers onto Gold Knob Road.
