SALISBURY – Three Livingstone College students were robbed at gunpoint Friday night near Sonic Drive-In on West Innes Street.
Police said six to seven “possibly high school age” males approached the students about 9 p.m. Members from the group asked if they could have some money, but quickly followed the question up by pulling out a pistol.
One of the victims told officers they thought a second person in the group also had a handgun.
Authorities said about $25 was taken in the robbery.
Suspects were all wearing dark-colored hoodie sweatshirts with black or red bandanas. One robber was wearing a Halloween mask of the Spiderman nemesis, Venom.
Police said the group fled into a wooded area behind Sonic following the incident.
No arrests have been made.
