SALISBURY – Police said a 23-year-old Salisbury man was stabbed in the back Saturday morning.
The man told officers he thought he was stabbed at a night club on Main Street. He could not provide the name of the club or the time.
Officers said the man’s injuries were not life threatening. He was released after being treated at Rowan Regional Medical Center about 2:30 a.m.
On Friday night, police were called after two people arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds. Doctors later found one of the wounds to be from shattered glass.
According to the report, a man and woman were fired on in a driveway near North Jackson Street about 3:25 a.m.
The woman, who had a laceration on her hand, told police she couldn’t remember where she was and didn’t want to talk about the shooting.
A man who had arrived with a gunshot wound to his back signed a refusal of treatment form and refused to speak to officers. The severity of the wound was not clear.
Salisbury Police said they are continuing to investigate both instances.
