SALISBURY — The clerk at a convenience store on West Horah Street said the gunman who robbed him Wednesday may have been the same who entered his store Nov. 22.
Authorities said the suspect was wearing a plastic mask when he entered Neighborhood Market and pointed a handgun at the clerk Wednesday around 7 p.m. The robber took about $30 from the register and demanded several cartons of Newport cigarettes from behind the counter.
When a customer entered the store during the robbery, the gunman forced that person to the ground, police said.
The clerk told police the robber was the same one who robbed him on Nov. 22. Few details were released in that incident.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the robberies to contact officers at 704-638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
