SALISBURY — Following a traffic stop on Interstate 85 Saturday, authorities charged an Alamance County man with three counts of kidnapping.
Rowan deputies said Detarrio Yarbor was taken into custody near Exit 76 after he crossed into Rowan County.
Yarbor was wanted on charges out of Burlington, deputies said.
Along with kidnapping, he was charged with three counts of felony abduction of children, assault on a female and assault on a child under 12.
Authorities said Yarbor did not have the children when he was arrested. They were later located at a family member’s house.
The 32-year-old was initially placed in Rowan County jail under a $300,000 bond, but has since been transported to Alamance County.
