Man stabbed during robbery near East Franklin Street

SALISBURY — Authorities said a man was stabbed during a robbery Sunday evening near East Franklin Street.
Investigators said two men approached the 31-year-old and asked him for a cigarette about 7:15 p.m.
One suspect drew a chrome revolver and the other a knife, police said. The two then told the man to strip his clothes off.
When he refused, the two forced him to lie down on his stomach and one of the men stabbed him in the hip area with the knife, authorities said.
Police said the victim’s Samsung cell phone and wallet were taken. The man told officers he had about $400 in his wallet.
The victim was taken by private vehicle to Rowan Regional?Medical Center. Officers said he is expected to be OK.
Both suspects were described as being in their early 20s.
One had a navy blue shirt with dark jeans, a blue toboggan and an unspecified tattoo on his face.
The other had a white shirt, light-colored jeans and a gray hoodie sweatshirt with dreadlocks.
