SALISBURY — Authorities arrested a man accused of rape Tuesday.
The U.S. Marshal’s Office assisted Stanly and Rowan counties law enforcement in finding and arresting William Everette Blevins II.
Blevins is accused of raping a 41-year-old Rowan County woman earlier this month.
He was also wanted on a federal probation violation.
Deputies said Blevins was caught in the Stanly County area. He was charged with felony second-degree forcible rape and felony sex offense.
The 28-year-old remained in jail Wednesday under a $150,000 bond.
