SALISBURY — A Salisbury man tried to get six cases of beer from Walmart with the receipt from another store, police said.
Michael Allen Bates, 26, of North Long Street, is charged with attempting to obtain property by false pretences. He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $2,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
