If illegal immigrants were gone, impact would be disastrous
A Facebook posting about illegal immigrants says, “calling illegal aliens undocumented workers is the same as calling drug dealers unlicensed pharmacists.”
This, of course is in reference to President Obama’s effort to legalize approximately 11 million illegal aliens in the United States. I’m not a big fan of the president but I think he may have a somewhat good idea. Let’s think about what would happen if we decided to rid the country of these folks. First of all, the cost alone would be in the billions. One way, though, would be if the U.S. became a Nazi-type state. Use our military to hunt down the illegals or undocumenteds. Commandeer all the trains and buses. Stuff them into cattle cars, rip out the seats on the buses, and pack them in.
Let’s say we could magically make them all disappear in an instant — 11 million illegal or undocumented workers, suddenly gone. By the way, I would be gone, too, because I’m still waiting on the Department of Home Security to document me as a citizen. In about 10 days, our supermarkets would start running out of produce. The produce would be rotting in the fields because most of the pickers are gone. Highway and building construction would halt because many skilled labors are suddenly missing, too. How about restaurants? No cooks or dishwashers.
Like it or not, many of these illegals have become part of America’s infrastructure. Pull them out and there is collapse. They do jobs that many Americans would not do. Try picking strawberries for a living or emptying chicken guts into barrels at the processing plants. Yes, they bring crime, and clog up our emergency rooms. But don’t the legals break laws and hurt others too?
We are a nation of diversity, I am told. That means we are in this together. Our America sent it’s Greatest Generation to stop monsters from ruling the world. Make these immigrants part of the solution, not the carriers of blame.

Obama’s gun proposals
I watched President Obama’s speech on Jan. 16, when he unveiled his new gun regulation proposals. He had four children on stage with him; but I noticed that in his 2,300 word speech, there wasn’t a single suggestion that could save these kids’ lives in a future attack. Yes, he’ll add 1,000 resource officers nationwide, but that’s only one officer for every 100 schools.
So even if all these proposals become law, these children will be just as defenseless next time. I wasn’t surprised; I always find his speeches shallow and condescending. These children were theater props, nothing more. Think back — have you ever seen liberals using small children on-stage during pro-abortion speeches? Why not?
What about Rowan County? Couldn’t some specially trained and certified schoolteachers in each school, carrying concealed weapons, maybe save lives one day? The president wants to ban guns, but that only makes naive people feel safer. Did outlawing drugs stop drugs? Lunatics prefer gun-free zones as much as dictators prefer gun-free citizens.
Remember the Sept. 11, 2012, attack in Benghazi, Libya? Part of President Obama’s re-election strategy was touting his foreign affairs accomplishments. He had killed Bin Laden, he had “decimated” Al-Qaeda, and he had helped remove Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi. Libya was now “safe;” so despite requests from Ambassador Stevens for additional security, our consulate in Benghazi remained vulnerable. But he hadn’t decimated Al-Qaeda; he’d just made them mad. In a perfectly coordinated attack, with military precision, they attacked our consulate and killed American citizens, including our ambassador.
Today’s top journalists are so liberal and dishonest; they’re basically Democrat Party cheerleaders. The American public would’ve accepted the Benghazi tragedy as just an honest mistake. But the corrupt news media helped the Obama administration convince millions of uninformed Americans that a 14-minute YouTube video had turned angry protesters into a deadly mob attack, even though there wasn’t a single protestor present.
